Truthset Rolls Out ‘Record-Level Transparency’ To Help Data Providers Improve The Accuracy Of Consumer Data

Editorial Team

Truthset, the leading data validation company in the U.S., known as the first to offer reliable accuracy scoring for demographic records at scale, today announced a rollout of Record-Level Transparency (RLT) for data records it processes. The new capability empowers data providers to identify and sequester demographic files based on score quality.

RLT is the first advancement in Truthset’s data quality product portfolio since announcing its Series A funding in October. The capability was developed in response to requests from Data Collective members looking for actionable intelligence that helps improve the quality and accuracy of data sets.

In the current ecosystem, a typical data file has records of varying quality, but data files are sourced, priced and used as if all data is of equal accuracy and value. Truthset’s RLT will enable data providers to pinpoint the accuracy scores of audience files and eliminate the lowest-scoring (estimated <10%) files to drive greater confidence, precision and ROI for data-driven ad campaigns.

The feature is now available to all Data Collective members, a group of 22 leading providers utilizing Truthset’s platform to benchmark the accuracy of consumer and identity data. Notably, several Data Collective members are already leveraging this capability to enhance the quality and value of their data assets.

This announcement builds on Truthset’s recent momentum, including the successful completion of a $5 million Series A funding round and the strategic addition of former TransUnion executive Gregg Galletta to its leadership team.

“Until now, we’ve focused on broadly identifying inaccuracies of big data powering the advertising industry,” said Scott McKinley, CEO at Truthset. “Now, we’re helping data providers make these insights actionable, which will ultimately increase the value of their assets while creating a more equitable ecosystem at large.”
