Truthset, the data validation pioneer, today announced it has hired Gregg Galletta as Executive Vice President to drive the commercialization and diversification of product offerings. Galletta brings more than two decades of driving growth and strategic acquisitions for companies specializing in identity and data-driven marketing.
The news comes on the heels of Truthset securing $5 million in series A funding to accelerate its next phase of growth and adoption with the media, brands, and measurement companies. The company currently works with dozens of the most innovative companies in advertising including Heineken, Paramount, TelevisaUnivision, TransUnion, Experian, and more.
“The $1 trillion data-driven industry has acknowledged it has quality, control, and consistency problems,” said Truthset founder Scott McKinley. “Gregg combines deep experience in identity and data quality with a passion for helping enterprises improve accuracy to drive measurable business results.”
Truthset will utilize Galletta’s expertise in driving industry adoption for new identity and audience solutions standards to bring new products to advertisers, media companies, measurement and data providers.
“Everyone in media and advertising knows there is a growing problem with the precision and profitability of consumer data,” said Galletta. “Truthset has carved out a unique position to solve this issue and unlock new and better ways of leveraging consumer data, from analytics to advertising.”
Prior to joining Truthset, Galletta was SVP of Data Strategy at identity resolution company Neustar, which was acquired by TransUnion for $3.1 billion.
Galletta went on to serve as SVP of Addressability for Marketing Solutions at TransUnions’s TruAudience, which helps thousands of global enterprises deepen customer relationships by developing more seamless engagement strategies across channels, devices and touchpoints.
Throughout his career Galletta is known for innovation and leadership — including creating ALC Digital which led to its acquisition by CIP (Adstra); leading sales at BlueCava, a device graph company; and at Equifax, where he launched the digital audience business.
For its part, Truthset has united industry-leading data providers such as Experian, TransUnion and Epsilon under the Data Collective, which leverages the Truthset platform to benchmark the accuracy of consumer level and identity data. Together, the Data Collective is raising the bar for data accuracy and accountability across the broader landscape.
